Not bad guys, but I will add my Team Xtreem result using 2.3v (real)
Everest @ 550 FSB, 660 MHz CL 5 (not bad bandwidth & latency for a P45 chipset) ![]() 665.8 MHz (max screen on 2.3v, not bench stable) ![]() |

DDR3 versus FSB on Quads
Hi FCG,
Read and downloaded the TTR OC excel files. Awesome guide! Thx BTW But I don't get the DDR3 FSB for Quads. I have a 790i with a Q6600 with Corsair Dominator 1333 OC'ed to 1600. (don't laugh, Dell XPS730 H2C, I wanted someone else to build and support my machine for once). If I look at the DDR3 on the TTR guide, 1333 @ 9 = CPU @ 4.8GHz (I wish). So my question is do I have to run 1:1 to get the most out of my Ram with this config? Or get faster DDR3 RAM $$$. Also is running odd unlinkked ratios 15:14 etc... not worth it? ie: should I be trying or forcing ratios like 5:4, 4:3 2:1 or 1:1 Thx |
